Due to the severe cold in Badrinath Dham, the water of the spring and the drain has started freezing. The dew drops lying on the trees have turned into snow. Cold wave is blowing in the Dham in the morning and evening.

These days the pilgrims reaching the Dham are facing severe cold. The situation is that the pilgrims are lurking in the rooms as soon as evening falls. Sunil Purohit, Executive Officer of Nagar Panchayat Badrinath said that due to the cold in the Dham, now the water has started freezing.

Arrangements for bonfires have been made at Bus Stand, Saket Tiraha and other places. Along with pilgrims, saints and saints are resorting to bonfire to escape from the cold. There is relief from the cold due to the sunshine in the Dham.

At the same time, La Nina (cooling of water) is increasing rapidly in the Pacific Ocean. This directly means that the temperature in the Northern Hemisphere is below normal. Due to this, there is a possibility of severe cold in Uttarakhand including the whole of North India. Meanwhile, the mercury may fall down to three degrees below normal.

Meteorologist Dr. RK Singh said that due to this delay, the monsoon departed from the country on October 25. With the departure of monsoon, now the cold has started increasing in the northern areas of the country.

At the same time, despite heavy snowfall, the power supply will not be interrupted in Mana, the last village of the country including Badrinath Dham. For this, Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency has planned to increase the capacity of 1250 kilowatt small hydro power project located in Badrinath Dham and operate it in isolation mode.

The repair work of the scheme has also been started. Along with Badrinath Dham, electricity is supplied from the high tension line of the Energy Corporation in Mana village.

Sometimes the supply is interrupted due to the line damage due to snowfall and storm. Due to this, the pilgrims as well as the local people have to face problems.
