According to the Meteorological Department, due to the activity of Western Disturbance, rain may occur in the surrounding hill districts including the capital on Tuesday. There is a possibility of snowfall in the mountainous areas with an altitude of more than 3500 meters.

Apart from the capital Doon, there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in districts like Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh. However, this time the activity of Western Disturbance is not very much. So there is no need to worry too much. And the cold is sure to increase rapidly. So people need to be careful.

Snowfall in Badrinath and Kedarnath
Badrinath Dham had the second snowfall of the season on Monday. It is freezing cold in the Dham due to snowfall. In the afternoon, there was light snowfall in Kedarnath Dham for about half an hour. The high peaks of the Dham are already covered with snow. Now a white sheet of snow has been spread in the hills adjoining the Dham. Due to continuous bad weather and snowfall, the outbreak of cold in Badrinath Dham has increased significantly. The travelers coming to the Dham were seen shivering from the cold. At the same time, the effect of snowfall in Badrinath was also seen in Joshimath area. Cold wave started prevailing in Pandukeshwar, Joshimath and Auli at dusk. Due to which the whole area has come under the grip of severe cold.

Sixth snowfall of the season occurred in the high Himalayan regions of the Frontier district and the first snowfall of the season in Khalia Top. Due to continuous snowfall in the higher Himalayan regions, the temperature in the lower regions is being recorded. Due to frost in low lying areas, people are facing lot of problems. In the afternoon there was hailstorm in Munsiyari. Khaliatop received the first snowfall of the season. Snow fell in many other parts of Munsiyari including Panchachuli, Rajrambha, Milam, Nanda Devi, Chhipala Kedar, Panchachuli, Hansling, Rajrambha. After the snowfall, Munsiyari recorded a minimum temperature of three degrees and a maximum of 12 degrees. Due to cloud cover in various parts, the maximum temperature of Pithoragarh was recorded at 16 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature at 10 degree Celsius.
