lake has already been formed
In the past, due to debris and boulders, a lake was formed in the year 2007 in the valley formed on either side of the river Yamuna and at the foothills of Triveni. Although it did not cause any damage at that time. People heaved a sigh of relief as the lake slowly opened up. If the lake is formed again due to debris and boulders at the mouth of the river, then it can be a danger.
A team of members of Irrigation, Revenue Department and Temple Committee will be sent regarding the matter of debris, boulders and silt collected in the Dham. Necessary action will be taken on receipt of their report.
