The COP26 summit is currently being organized in Glasgow, Scotland to tackle the challenge of climate change. Leaders of more than 120 countries are participating in this conference, which will run till 12 November. However, the Presidents of China and Russia did not attend. US President Joe Biden has reacted sharply to this.

According to media reports, Biden addressed this conference on Tuesday night. During this, he criticized Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin for not attending. Biden said climate change is a huge issue and Russia and China, who are deeply involved in it, have distanced themselves from it.

In terms of carbon emissions, China is second only to the US and Russia is in fifth place. The European Union is at the third place in this list and India is at the fourth position. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including Biden, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and presidents of many big countries are attending this summit.

China and Russia have sent their delegation to this summit. However, Putin addressed the conference through virtual medium. But, Biden said about his absence that Russia’s forest is burning and its president is keeping silent. At the same time, Biden said about China that Jinping’s absence is a big mistake.
