Under the education policy, provision has been made to operate Anganwadi centers as pre-primary schools. The Basic Education Department had started preparations to operate Anganwadi centers as pre-primary schools from last year itself.

Along with providing the infrastructure facilities in the Anganwadi centers, the syllabus was also prescribed there. The operation of Anganwadi centers was also stopped till 15 September due to corona infection by the state government. The Department of Basic Education has started preparations for the operation of pre-primary schools from September 16 after getting an indication that the Anganwadi centers will start operating under the Kovid protocol.
