The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is going to organize its first ever Global Hackathon with an aim to make digital payments even more secure and convenient for consumers. On Tuesday, the RBI made an announcement in this regard by issuing a statement. The registration for this hackathon named ‘Harbinger 2021’ will start from 15th November.

Solutions related to digital payments will have to be introduced
Announcing this Global Hackathon, the Reserve Bank of India said that the participants of the Hackathon will come up with solutions to make digital payments accessible to the last person, simplify it and improve the experience. Along with this, issues related to making the digital payment process even more secure and convenient will be identified and resolved.

The winner will get 40 lakhs, then the runner-un will get 20 lakhs
According to the Reserve Bank, the winners of the participants will be announced by the jury as part of the Harbinger 2021 Hackathon. A jury will select the winners in each category. 40 lakh will be given to the first place winner, while the second place (runner-up) participant will be given Rs 20 lakh as a prize.
