At present, nine posts are vacant in Gehlot’s cabinet and a dozen new ministers will be inducted if the three existing ministers are dropped. The challenge for the Congress is to accommodate independent MLAs as the party does not have an absolute majority in the state assembly.

Independent MLAs can also get ministerial posts
According to sources, some of them (independent MLAs) will be given a place in the cabinet. The most important thing is that 4-5 MLAs of Sachin Pilot camp are sure to get a place in the cabinet. However, the Congress has not decided on Sachin Pilot’s adjustment in the party after he resigned from the post of Deputy Chief Minister and PCC chief.

It is worth noting that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday. After this meeting, he said that he has left the decision about the reshuffle in the Rajasthan cabinet to the high command. Gehlot told that he has put his views in front of the top leadership of the party. Whatever decision the party high command takes will be acceptable to all.
