Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kedarnath in Uttarakhand on November 5. In a statement issued by the Central Government in this regard on Wednesday, it was said that during his visit, the Prime Minister will offer prayers at Kedarnath temple. Along with this he will inaugurate Shri Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi and unveil the statue of Shri Adi Shankaracharya. After the damage to the mausoleum due to the floods of 2013, it has now been rebuilt.

According to the statement, Prime Minister Modi will also address a public meeting here. Apart from this, he will also inaugurate those infrastructure projects whose work has been completed. These projects include Saraswati Retaining Wall Asthapath and Ghat, Mandakini Retaining Wall Asthapath, Teerth Purohit Bhawan and Garun Chatti Bridge projects on river Mandakini. Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Kedarnath on Wednesday.

Teerth priests are agitating, demanding dissolution of Devasthanam Management Board
There is also opposition to this visit of PM Modi. The Teerth Purohit is agitating and demanding the dissolution of the Uttarakhand Devasthanam Management Board. The pilgrimage priests have also warned against opposing Modi’s visit. Due to this, Chief Minister Dhami had reached Kedarnath today. Here he also interacted with the pilgrimage priests after having darshan. During this, along with Chief Minister Dhami, Cabinet Ministers Dr. Harak Singh Rawat and Subodh Uniyal also reached Kedarnath Dham.
