In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021 released by the Union Ministry of Education, except KGMU and PGI Lucknow, other government educational institutions of the capital have lagged behind in their category compared to last year. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday released the list of educational institutions across the country ranked in the rankings released in 11 categories.
KGMU rises in the category of medical institutions
KGMU improved its category ranking by a notch, but saw a decline in its overall and university rankings. In the category of Medical Institutions, KGMU has improved its ranking to 9th position this time. He was ranked 10th in last year’s ranking. In the same category, like last year, PGI Lucknow retained its 5th ranking. In the category of overall educational institutions, KGMU has come down for the second time in a row. This time he secured 60th rank. Whereas last year he was at 50th rank and in the year 2019 he was at 42nd rank. On the other hand, the ranking of KGMU has also declined in the university category. This time it has got 39th rank, whereas last year it was 32nd rank.
Account open in the category of Dental
This time Rajdhani opened its account in Dental category and KGMU has secured 5th rank giving excellent performance in this category. Saraswati Dental College and Hospital has got 27th rank in this category.
IIMs slip in management institutes
In the field of management, IIM Lucknow may have managed to break into the top 10, but it also lost its previous ranking. This year he has got 7th rank, whereas last year he was at 4th rank.
