In his tweet made at 8.59 pm, he said that in addition to reduction in excise duty in Bihar, it has been decided by the central government to reduce VAT as well. Let us inform that after the relief given by the Central Government, there is increasing pressure on the states to reduce VAT. In such a situation, Nitish Kumar has decided to cut it first.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel by Rs 7 with immediate effect.

Tripura government also announced to reduce VAT
Soon after the decision of the Assam government, Tripura CM Biplab Deb also announced a reduction of VAT on petrol and diesel by Rs 7.

Karnataka and Goa government also reduced prices
At the same time, the BJP-ruled Karnataka and Goa governments have also announced to reduce the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 7 per liter in their states.
