Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar Says Modern Indian Women Want To Live Single And Unwilling To Give Birth

Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar attended a program organized by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurological Sciences on World Mental Health Day on Sunday. But, here he gave a controversial statement. Sudhakar said that modern Indian women give priority to surrogacy rather than giving birth to children themselves. He said that this kind of change in our thinking is not right at all.

Speaking at the event in Bangalore, Sudhakar said, ‘I am very sorry to say that many modern Indian women want to be alone. Even if she marries, she does not want to give birth to a child. She gives priority to surrogacy. There has been a noticeable change in our thinking, which is not right. Unfortunately today we are going the western route. We don’t want to live with our parents, forget about living with grandparents.’

At the same time, regarding mental health, Sudhakar said that at present every seventh person in the country is suffering from some mental problem. He said that stress management is an art and for this Indians should turn to yoga and meditation, which our ancestors have taught us. Along with this, Sudhakar also thanked Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for providing 1.5 crore corona virus vaccines to the state.
