Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to the people for the victory of the party in the assembly elections held in various states. Nadda said that BJP is committed for the overall development of the country. In a series of tweets, he thanked the people for trusting the BJP and also appreciated the party workers and the Chief Ministers of the respective states.

Nadda said, the victory in the assembly by-elections held in various states shows the trust of the people in the state governments of the BJP working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Counting of votes for the by-elections held in 29 assembly seats across the country took place today. Its results show that 11 seats have come in the account of BJP and its allies. These seats are in Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.

In almost all the states, the results of these by-elections were seen going in favor of the ruling party. Only in Himachal Pradesh the results were different. By-elections were held for one Lok Sabha seat and three assembly seats here. Congress has won all the four seats here. Here by-elections were held for Mandi Lok Sabha seat and Prithvipur, Raigaon and Jobat assembly seats.
