India was on Thursday re-elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for a 2022-24 term. Thereafter, India committed to continue its work to protect and promote human rights through ‘respect, dialogue and cooperation’.

India’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations said in a tweet, “India has been re-elected with an overwhelming majority to the UNHRC (2022-24). Thanks to UN members for reposing their faith in India. We will continue to work for human rights through respect, dialogue, cooperation.
