Iaf Gets Two Mirage 2000 Fighters From France To Strengthen Combat Aircraft Fleet

Both the Mirage aircraft that arrived in India from France are trainer versions. According to sources, both these aircraft, which reached India, will now be upgraded to new standards under the ongoing Mirage Upgrade Program at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

The Indian Air Force has received 51 Mirages so far. In which three squadrons have been formed and all are deployed at Gwalior Vasu Army Station. Upgradation of Mirage is going on with the help of France. But due to the crash of some planes, some kits were saved, which will now be fitted in both these planes.
