The Delhi government has directed to deposit Rs 5000 in the bank accounts of workers whose work has been affected due to the ban on construction and demolition work. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave this information on Thursday.

The Delhi government had recently banned construction and demolition work in view of the air pollution in the state. After this, after the improvement in pollution, the government lifted this ban on 22 November. Meanwhile, many workers had to remain without work.

CM Kejriwal said that he has given instructions to deposit five thousand rupees in the bank accounts of the workers whose work was affected due to the ban on construction works due to air pollution. He said that according to the minimum wage of the workers, we will also compensate them according to the loss caused to them.

Responding to a question regarding the meeting between AAP leader Sanjay Singh and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Wednesday, he said, “That meeting was in relation to the politics of Uttar Pradesh.”
