Congress MPs will not participate in the program to be held on the occasion of Constitution Day tomorrow i.e. on Friday. The program is to be held in the Central Hall of the Parliament House. This news has come out quoting sources. It is being told that apart from Congress, TMC, RJD, DMK, CPI and CPI-M will also not participate in this program.

Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, a program will be organized in the Central Hall of Parliament on ‘Constitution Day’ on Friday. It will be addressed by President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the statement of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the President will read out the Preamble of the Constitution after his address and the whole country has been invited to read the Preamble of the Constitution with him.

The Congress alleges that the Modi government is continuously attacking the Constitution and weakening the constitutional institutions. According to sources, the decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Affairs Strategic Group chaired by Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Last year too, the Congress and several other opposition parties had boycotted the event.

It is believed that along with the Congress, many other opposition parties can also boycott this program. Congress leaders are in touch with leaders of opposition parties. DMK, Shiv Sena, RSP, Nationalist Congress Party, Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, CPI, CPI(M), RJD, JMM, IUML and some other parties may also boycott the event.
