Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things as the chief guest at a function organized at Bharatendu Natya Academy, Gomtinagar on Thursday. He visited the exhibition on Bhartendu Harishchandra in the Academy premises and unveiled his life size statue. On this occasion, five personalities from the field of film, writing and direction were decorated. In the function, CM Yogi Adityanath said that Bharatendu Harishchandra has made an incomparable and unforgettable contribution to Hindi language and literature.
He said that the statue of Bharatendu Harishchandra has been unveiled as part of the series of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and Chauri Chaura Centenary Celebrations. He called upon the youth to take inspiration from Bhartendu’s ideas, ideals and contribute actively in the all-round development of the country and society and in building a capable, strong and self-reliant India. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Cabinet Minister Brajesh Pathak, Ashutosh Tandon, Tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari, BNA Director Ravi Shankar Khare and Principal Secretary Tourism Mukesh Meshram were present in the program. Tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari said that Bharatendu Harishchandra did the work of connecting Hindi language with the society by rectifying the literature which was left bound. He contributed to the Indian independence movement through literature.
The CM along with the founding director of BNA, Padmashree Raj Bisaria, Dipesh Chaudhary, great-grandson of Bharatendu Harishchandra, actor Hemendra Bhatia, director of North Central Zone Cultural Center Prayagraj, Prof. Suresh Sharma and actor Atul Tiwari were honored.
CM reached the academy for the first time, increased the spirits of the artists
Celebrities who were honored at the Bhartendu Natya Akademi openly appreciated the fact that for the first time a Chief Minister had come to the Academy. It is a matter of pride that the statue of Bhartendu Harishchandra was unveiled. This will boost the spirits of the artists.
Padmashree Raj Bisaria, Founder Director of Bhartendu Natya Akademi said that after a time the statue of Bhartendu Harishchandra has been installed in BNA. The Chief Minister has given respect to the artists, it is a very good initiative. At the same time, actor Atul Tiwari said that this is the first time that a Chief Minister has reached the academy. I consider myself lucky, the organization because of which we have been worthy of this. All the artists express their gratitude to the Chief Minister for unveiling the statue of Bharatendu ji.
At the same time, writer and actor Hemendra Bhatia said that Bhartendu Natya Akademi was known as Bhartendu Natya Kendra in 1974. I have been associated with BNA since 1975. Worked in the field of film direction from STTI Pune. In this sequence, the director of the North Central Zone Cultural Center, Prof. Suresh Sharma said that I have been a student of the first batch of diploma in Bhartendu Natya Academy. It was here that the National School of Drama reached New Delhi. From there he came as a professor. Became the director in this school and got the privilege of becoming the director of North Central Zone Cultural Center immediately. In the end, Deepesh Chaudhary, the great-grandson of Bhartendu Harishchandra, said that the work of reincarnation of Bhartendu on his 171st birth anniversary has been done by the government. The governments of Modi and Yogi are following what Bharatendu Harishchandra said, it is a good thing. He said three things. First- we should have one language, every person living in India should be called Indian and use Swadeshi.
