The Mamata government of West Bengal has again opposed the increase in the jurisdiction of the BSF in the state. TMC MP Saugata Roy said that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has increased the BSF’s jurisdiction in the state from 15 km to 50 km. A letter has been written to PM Modi against the decision of the Center to do so. We will move a resolution against it in the assembly.

TMC will raise the matter in Parliament
He said the move would interfere with the state’s jurisdiction. We will raise this issue in Parliament. Center should do the work of fencing the border, the state is also supporting it.

Faleiro made Rajya Sabha candidate
At the same time, keeping an eye on the 2022 Goa assembly elections, the TMC on Saturday named Luizinho Faleiro as its candidate for the by-election to the Rajya Sabha seat of West Bengal. Former Goa Chief Minister Faleiro ended his decades-old association with the Congress and joined the TMC in September. He was appointed the party’s national vice president last month.

TMC said on Twitter- We are extremely pleased to nominate @luizinhofaleiro to the Upper House of Parliament. We are sure that his efforts to serve the nation will be widely appreciated by our people! After the resignation of TMC MP Arpita Ghosh from the Upper House, a by-election to the Rajya Sabha seat was held on November 29.
