Summary

Nitish Kumar said, ‘I have always said that the will of the people is paramount, he has reposed faith in us. As long as the trust of the people remains, we will continue to serve them.

Buoyed by the victory in the by-elections in two assembly seats of Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has targeted RJD founder and his arch rival Lalu Prasad Yadav. Nitish Kumar said that the people have rejected the RJD. His arrogance and indecent behavior has been crushed by the public.

Nitish Kumar said this in a discussion with journalists at JDU’s state headquarters in Patna on Wednesday. He had come here to participate in the program organized in the honor of the winning candidates Ganesh Bharti and Rajiv Kumar Singh in the by-election. Bharti Kusheshwar has won from Asthan and Singh from Tarapur seat. He has retained both the seats of JDU.

Nitish Kumar said, “The bypoll was a sad occasion, but it was necessitated due to the demise of two of our MLAs. I have always said that the will of the people is paramount, he has reposed faith in us. As long as the trust of the people remains, we will continue to serve them.

The victory in the by-elections is a big relief for Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, his party was defeated in the state assembly elections held last year, but due to the full support of other allies including the BJP, he became the CM again. Nitish Kumar said that the candidate in the by-election belonged to JD(U), but the entire NDA supported him in complete solidarity.

Nitish Kumar was questioned about the failure of Lalu Yadav. Lalu Yadav had participated in the election campaign despite old age and illness and claimed that the RJD would win and after that there would be a stampede for defection in the NDA.

CM Nitish Kumar said, ‘What can I say about his Lalu Yadav? What kind of language did he use during the election? There is difference. We consider the public as supreme, while he and his family consider themselves above others.
