Assembly Elections: Transfers Will Be Banned In Uttar Pradesh From November 1

Voter list revision campaign for the assembly elections in the state will start from November 1. With the start of the voter list revision campaign, the transfer of officers will be banned in the state. Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that the work of short revision of voter lists for the next year’s assembly elections will start from November 1. Along with this, the ban on transfers of officers and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from DM to Block level will also be effective.

The officers who cannot be transferred during this period include DM, ADM, SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, BDO, Consolidation Officer and Assistant Consolidation Officer and BLO. To transfer an officer in unavoidable circumstances, the government will have to take prior permission of the commission.

A proposal for this will be sent to the Chief Electoral Officer. The Chief Electoral Officer will send it to the Commission with his recommendation and the transfer order can be issued only after getting the green signal of the Commission.
